This is a brilliantly crafted film that takes a clear look at the dynamics of the ego and masterfully delivers the metaphysics of "A Course in Miracles"—that only love is real and sin is not. Daniel is a dispirited world-renowned conductor. His heart is calling for a different way, although he doesn’t immediately know what that is. He only knows he cannot continue as he has been; something needs to change. Daniel leaves his world of touring and seeks refuge in the small town where he grew up as a child.
He is invited to lead the local church choir, which he initially resists. However, as he slowly becomes involved, his inspiration grows, and he becomes the catalyst for major change. Past wounds, old thoughts, patterns of control, the belief in sin and guilt arise for everyone involved. Everything must be brought to the light of day for the healing to begin. The singers learn that they cannot sing if anyone present is holding onto a grievance or a hidden thought.
Hearts break wide open and the Spirit pours through as they learn how to tune into their natural voice, to take down the notes of their God-given song, beyond all ideas of wrongdoing and control.
Collaboration is the key. We’re all singers in God’s choir, and we have the choice to open the mind and join in the song or remain tightly closed as a bud. It’s really no choice at all. This film will leave you uplifted and grateful for the song of life.
Movies are an excellent way to watch your mind, to pay attention to your emotions, and to help you discover your unconscious beliefs.
