How simple is awakening! Accepting the truth about yourself is all that is required. Nothing was ever wrong; you were always whole and complete and perfectly happy. Give yourself a gift of freedom for no one else can give it to you, and start laughing at the thought of deprivation. How silly! How absolutely unreal!

 

Penelope has a curse: she looks like a pig and someone has to fall in love with her for the curse to be lifted. Her face is a symbol of the belief that something is wrong with her so she has to hide until someone falls in love with her. The world will reflect that thought: it will show you, you are right, something is wrong. Penelope’s mother is reflecting her belief that something is wrong. When Penelope finally goes out and is exposed, she sees that people are not running away from her. In her willingness to take the steps given, she sees it is not all that bad, all that scary. By bringing a false belief to light, it gets exposed for what it is. It is in the hiding that it’s given power. When the belief stands in the way, the communication does not happen to open up to love. It is just the little mad thought that something is wrong that needs healing.
