When we think of relationships in this world we think of compartmentalized love: husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, the love of a parent for their child, etc. It’s believed that different kinds of love are possible, a way of loving one, and another way of loving still another. And yet in "A Course in Miracles," Jesus says that there is only one love; it is a love that never changes, has no degrees, and doesn’t alter with person or circumstance. It is the Heart of God, and also of His Son.
Compartmentalized love in the world is more of a fantasy than an actuality. Experiences are needed that start to show that sense of intimacy and connection that is not based on the body, or time, or frequency of contact. Those are all key factors to the ego’s version of love, whereas the spirit wants to take us deep inside our mind to know a love that's not dependent on form.
As long as the ego is believed in, the perceptions of love seem determined by form. If someone seems to die, there is usually grief and mourning because the belief in the mind is that someone has been lost and that this connection is never going to be the same. The relationship seems to come to an end through the death of a body, but that's not really where the love is.
In this mind-expanding relationship movie, the main character, Rhiannon falls in love with a presence that takes on many different forms. This helps put the focus in a natural way on the telepathic connection beyond the form. When you feel you really know someone, you really feel more and more that you know who they are. It is not so much dependent on the form, but their presence. You can feel them in ways that are beyond the body. This movie helps expand the limited ideas of what love is and what true relationship means.
