SearchHow to praise God/Divinity?
Question:
I would like to hear comments on how to praise Divinity. Peace be with you all.
Answer:
In this world, praise and condemnation are two sides of one coin: the coin of judgment. Both flattery (pride) and criticism are in the realm of error. And yet Christ calls the lost and teaches: "judge not." God the Father is Perfect Oneness, the Divine Heavenly Creator which is eternal love. Though Eternal Love knows not praise or worship as it is conceptualized in this world, it can be said that forgiveness of illusions is the goal of the Holy Spirit and that in accepting Atonement (complete forgiveness) the Divine Love of God and Christ, God's Perfect Creation, are honored. For illusions block the awareness of Divine Love, and the release of illusions returns the mind to the state of creation, of perfect innocence. God is perfect and knows his creation as perfect. The Holy Spirit remembers perfection and holds it in Mind until it is willingly accepted by the mind which seems to sleep and dream of illusions. As such, God is praised anytime the mind learns to be truly helpful through forgiveness. God is praised as one becomes a miracle worker in the service of Christ. God is praised anytime a grievance is laid aside in favor of forgiveness, and hurt is replaced by a blessing.
It is, then, not the words that are spoken or sung that are the content of praising God. It is the prayer of the heart, which willingly forgives illusions (releases idols) and makes clean the altar within, that offers all honor and glory to God. For the Holy Spirit knows the prayer of the heart before the words are formed or uttered. The beatitudes of living and extending gentleness and mercy are good examples of praising and worshipping God, for as we treat any brother we treat our very Self and our Creator. As we allow Christ to perform miracles through us, we open our heart to accept that who we are is a miracle of God. We are created in Spirit, in the likeness of God, and humbly accepting our Self as God created us is worshipful to God. To arrogantly proclaim oneself to be a "sinner" is simply a mistaken judgment placed upon God's beloved child. Error need only be forgiven or released.
Everyone has the ability to worship and praise God, for everyone has the ability to be a miracle worker. Christ is ready and able to perform miracles through a mind willing to listen to the Holy Spirit. There are no special skills needed to perform miracles, yet miracles require an obedience to the Voice for God and can only be performed in the absence of fear. Therefore, in summary, willingness is the key in how to praise Divinity, for willingness is the key to forgiveness. Atonement (correction) can only be voluntarily accepted for oneself, and the Holy Spirit holds it safely within until the mind is ready to forgive what it thought it made. God does not forgive, for he has never condemned. Yet forgiveness is necessary for a mind that believes it has fallen from grace and separated from its source. Forgiveness is the last illusion, within which all others vanish. Praise God by forgiving what never was and accepting our Self as God created it eternally.
All glory and honor to God.
