This movie is a classic for demonstrating how psychic phenomenon can be used in purpose with the Spirit. Discernment is the gift of knowing which purpose the gifts and abilities serve. Are they being used for the purpose of fear or for the purpose of love? All abilities, like psychic abilities, can be channeled through the Holy Spirit's direction and purpose. When abilities are feared or used for control, which are the purposes of the ego, then pain and destruction are inevitable. However, with love and patience and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, all seeming gifts, talents, or psychic abilities can be used to remember the truth of the divine Self, which is beyond all gifts and worldly phenomena.
