Opportunities for healing come in unexpected and surprising ways, and no one is more surprised than Jules, founder of a hip online fashion label, when her colleague assigns her a suit and tie-clad senior intern. Jules’ start-up company has exploded with success over a short period of time, and although she has the appearance of taking it all in her stride, she is in desperate need of help. In comes Ben, an old-fashioned, overqualified retiree who is bored with retirement and in need of a fresh purpose for his life.
Although Jules is resistant to the gifts that Ben is offering, he remains steadfast in his direction to support her. She slowly lets down her defenses, and allows herself to be helped. Ben is solid, intuitive, and highly attentive to her needs and it isn’t long before he becomes indispensable, both at work and in her home. Frightened of the intimacy of mind they have begun to share, Jules makes an attempt to push Ben away. She quickly realizes that she’s made a mistake and their relationship deepens as Jules uncovers a deep sense of unworthiness and a fear of loss and failure.
Despite our best attempts to manage our own lives, the Spirit knows what we need, and the outcome of receiving what is given is always for a deepening in love, trust and joy.
