What Is Time Really?
Know Thyself.
When you start to realize that the peace of God is really all you want, the whole perception of the universe changes to reflect that single desire, and you have an experience of time and of the world that is completely unlike any experience you ever had before.
What is time really? The open mind asks this question. This journey is about a collapsing of time and a surrendering and letting go, and about opening your heart to the realization that all of time is simultaneous. All problems are based in linear time, and there are no problems now.
Golden Nugget:
The feeling of intense fear is your invitation to call upon the miracle to enter your holy mind!
“There will come a time when images have all gone by, and you will see you know not what you are. It is to this unsealed and open mind that truth returns, unhindered and unbound.” T-31.V.17:2-3 “Someone asked me, ‘What is a fact?’ I said, ‘God is a fact and Christ is a fact, and if you get off into anything beyond that, you’re off into opinions.’ They reacted, ‘Oh come on!’ I said, ‘No, really! Heaven is a fact, Christ is a fact, God is a fact, Love is a fact.’ There we go. 'Peace is a fact, joy is a fact.' As soon as you get away from a fact, you are on shaky ground, because a fact is Knowledge. The Greeks talked about ‘Know Thyself’; just two words, ‘Know Thyself.’ They were talking about knowing the fact; that’s all it was really saying: ‘Know the fact.’ It is unchanging, it is eternal, it is the ‘I Am-ness.’ And ‘I Am-ness’ is a fact.
So, that gives us the context, and there is even a lesson in the Course, ‘I will not value the valueless.’ W-133 In that lesson, Jesus says, Now, here are your criteria for what is valuable and valueless. Do you not love it when the Master tells you the criteria between what is valuable and valueless!? That should be good news, because then you would give your mind fully over to the valuable, and you would let go of the valueless.
He starts out in his discernment between the valuable and the valueless by saying, ‘… if you choose a thing that will not last forever, what you chose is valueless.’ W-133.6:1 Wow! Talk about separating the wheat from the chaff.
That is some criteria you have got there, Jesus! If it will not last forever, it has no value whatsoever—at all. It reminds me of the “Introduction to A Course in Miracles“: ‘Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.’ In-2:2-4
If we are really interested in peace, it would help us to start to discern the valuable from the valueless, and that is what this so-called ‘ … journey without distance to a goal that has never changed’ (T-8.VI.9:7) is all about. It is about shifting our mind, just tweaking our mind from an addiction to the valueless, to the valuable; to start to really, truly comprehend and experience the valuable as our Self, as our true identity in God.
So, what we are doing? We are on to the practical experience of exactly that, and some people have said to me, ‘How do you do that?’ I say, ‘Well, the Holy Spirit is the how.’ If you open up to the Holy Spirit, he will give you the means as well as the end.”
