SearchIsn't it true that Salvation comes through Jesus because he overcame the Ego in his own Body on the Cross?
Question:
Let us obtain Salvation through Jesus our Lord who destroyed this Ego in His own Body on the Cross. Remember, guilt is illusion, yes, but unless we see the meaning of the Cross of Jesus, guilt can not be removed from human consciousness; even by knowing that the ego is but a phantom, guilt remains. I still believe in the old-fashioned finished work of the cross. I cannot see any evidence that the psychology of mysticism removes guilt or fear of death. Just thinking out loud.
Answer:
Truly Salvation is in Christ and the Light has come. Christ is the Lamb of God, and the lamb is a symbol of Innocence. The lamb is pure white as a symbol of the purity of Innocence. The lamb is not blood stained, for blood is meant to be a symbol for Life, not death. Innocence "resists not evil" because Innocence has overcome the belief in death. And what was guilt but the belief that death was real. Innocence in Christ has truly taken away "the sins of the world,” yet God demands no sacrifice. Atonement is equated with Innocence, not sacrifice. It is written:
"For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." (Hosea 6:6)
Jesus has been correctly referred to as "the lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world,” but those who represent the lamb as blood-stained do not understand the meaning of the symbol. Correctly understood, it is a very simple symbol that speaks of innocence. The lion and the lamb lying down together symbolize that strength and innocence are not in conflict, but naturally live in peace. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" is another way of saying the same thing. A pure mind knows the truth and this is its strength. It does not confuse destruction with innocence because it associates innocence with strength, not with weakness.
In the Bible Jesus says: "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show [it] unto you." John 16:12-15)
Now is the appointed time. I use the term "mysticism" to mean Union with God in Christ and speak using terms the Holy Spirit offers in reference to the Bible, Christians, education, psychology, music, and movies (to name a few). I revel in allowing the Holy Spirit to speak, write, sing, and express the Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know you understand this in your Heart, for we share the Heart of Christ.
Sacrifice is a notion totally unknown to God. It arises solely from fear, and frightened people can be vicious. Sacrificing in any way is a violation of the injunction that you should be merciful even as your Father in Heaven is merciful.
The innocence of God is the true state of the mind of His Son. In this state your mind knows God, for God is not symbolic; He is Fact. Knowing His Son as he is, you realize that the Atonement, not sacrifice, is the only appropriate gift for God's altar, where nothing except perfection belongs. The understanding of the innocent is truth. That is why their altars are truly radiant.
Christ waits for your acceptance of Him as yourself, and of His Wholeness as yours. For Christ is the Son of God, who lives in His Creator and shines with His glory. Christ is the extension of the love and the Loveliness of God, as perfect as His Creator and at peace with Him. Blessed is the Son of God whose radiance is of His Father, and whose glory He wills to share as His Father shares it with Him. There is no condemnation in the Son, for there is no condemnation in the Father. Sharing the perfect Love of the Father the Son must share what belongs to Him, for otherwise he will not know the Father or the Son. Peace be unto you who rest in God.
Will see you soon and rejoice in Christ forever! I am no longer searching, for I am found in and of and as Christ. I and the Father are One. I am the Light of the world, and Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Love & Blessings always,
David
