SearchWhat is meant by "turning to the Altar within" and how can I overcome my weak belief?
Question:
What is meant by turning your back and turning to the Altar within? Does this mean to keep your attention on the "I" within; the Holy Spirit within; turning to Christ Consciousness within? Are these all the same just different names? I have a weak belief as to the real meaning in back of these words. I feel this is a very important for me to understand and to practice minute by minute for peace and transformation.
Answer:
As you are attentive to your thoughts and vigilant for inner peace, you are turning to the Altar within. Do not be concerned with a seeming "weak" belief, for belief is an ego function and as such is neither strong nor weak. Beliefs dissolve in the Light of Truth. The Holy Spirit offers Atonement at the Altar within and this leads out of belief entirely into Knowing Self in God. Belief in God is not necessary, for God can be but Known. All inner work or effort is aimed at complete forgiveness, which is the undoing of the ego. Beneath the ego belief the Altar shines undefiled.
In Peace,
David
