I put out a prayer to the Holy Spirit to help me release inner blocks I felt when writing music. While walking on the street in the Netherlands a stranger approached me and asked if I could write lyrics to a new song he was composing. With so much joy a collaboration was born to create Inspirational Dance music.

Story of how the Inspirational Dance music came through

Merin, the co-writer of the song, and I met on a walk when I was in the Netherlands at the beginning of February. He approached me because he had seen me carrying a guitar the day before and was wondering whether I was a song-writer. Interestingly enough, I had recently put out a prayer to the Holy Spirit to help me release the inner blocks I felt when writing music. Merin is a musician and songwriter himself and during the walk he shared a few of his own songs with me. One song, he said, he could not hear the lyrics to. Although it was not the kind of music that I ever felt drawn to, this time I somehow experienced a real spark with it and felt to try to write the lyrics.

When I got home, I felt so inspired that I immediately sat down and started writing. But as fear started arising, the Spirit began playing all sorts of songs in my head like "The Circle of Life'' by Elton John and "Wake Me Up" by Avicii etc... which helped me to relax and find my inner spark again. Suddenly the words just started floating in and soon after, most of the song was written. Only a few lines weren't fully clear yet, so I had a call with Merin and a friend of his to join on it. This helped me in hearing the missing lyrics more clearly. It was a real confirmation for me that in joining with others the real flow of inspiration is kept alive because we all felt so uplifted when the "right" set of words came through. The spark in my heart was a clear guide in writing down the specific words.

I had never completed a song before because of my inner blocks with writing but this whole adventure was divinely orchestrated to bring in one big miracle. The Spirit brought in all the support I needed to help me follow my heart. 

Merin drove to my house to record my vocals and a week later I spent two days at his family's place to finish the whole song with musical background layers and everything. Also his whole family are artists and musicians so during our breaks we kept playing music, we laughed, sung and danced together. What a divine gift!

My hearts' desire was and is to let everything in this world be for the one and only purpose of forgiveness because that is where I experience true happiness, peace and love and so I went through a big wash in my mind about what music is, how it needs to sound and what the real purpose is for it.

This whole collaboration became such a beautiful opportunity to experience real connectedness and to follow the true inspiration and desire of my heart.

And that is really what the song is all about...

Live in the moment, let go of all you think you know and all you think you need and let love guide you in every step of the way.
